Time & it’s inculpability (1)

I realized last night that I haven’t written in a few days.  ’Time’ slipped by.  So when I awoke this morning I started trying to think of some topic to talk about.  Two cups of coffee, peanut butter toast and a banana later I still have nothing.  Except having watched the clock count off ‘time’.

We seem to always be looking for time.  Wether it is starting yoga or taking a class; going to see a loved one or getting some mundane chore done.  The excuse is always “When I find the ‘time’.”  Is it just laying around, under the bed and you forgot to pick it up?

‘Time’ is something we create, through the experiences we have along the way.  Think about it, the first three hours of a tattoo session can seem like mere moments.  Laughing and talking, catching up with one another.  But after five hours when we tell you “15 more minutes”, ‘time’ crawls and those 15 minutes feel like any hour as you patiently sit there wondering why it’s taking so long.

So go make some ‘time’.  You’ll never find it in-between the couch cushions.  It’s not going to just plop in your lap like a puppy.  Go make the time for something you want.  Otherwise you’ll be wondering at how the ‘Time’ flew by.

Aftercare for your new tattoo (0)

Proper care of your tattoo is YOUR responsibility.  Just like anyhting else, if you take care of it, it will look it’s best.  If you don’t, it won’t!

-Make sure you wash your hands thoroughly before touching you tattoo for any reason; EVERYTIME!

-Remove bandage after 1-2 hours.  Wash carefully with a mild anti-bacterial soap and warm water.  Pat dry with a paper towel.  DO NOT WIPE WITH A TOWEL!

-Do not rebandage

-Apply a VERY thin coat of A&D Ointment, rub it in gently, but well.  Wash the tattoo and reapply ointment 2-3 times per day for the first 3 days.  After the first 3 days switch to a mild hand lotion and apply it in the same way for the next 7-10 days.

-Avoid any lotion with perfumes, dyes or additives; especially aloe or vitamin E.  Some brand names that work well for most people are Vaseline Intensive Care and Original Nivea.

-Sometimes ointments and lotions will clog your pores causing small pimples or red bumps similar to heat rash around the tattoo.  Discontinue using ointment/ lotion if any of these appear and let the tattoo dry heal.  The pimples will usually clear up in a few days.

-ABSOLUTELY NO sunbathing, swimming, soaking, exercising the area or tight/binding clothing on your tattoo until the healing process is complete.  (At least 2 weeks to a month)

-DO NOT pick or scratch at the tattoo while it is healing.  You will pull the color directly out of your tattoo.

-After it is healed, use sunblock when you are outdoors to prevent fading.

If you have any questions, feel free to call your artist!

Blogging…. (2)

Hopefully everyone is enjoying this on going commentary.  But it does get a bit one sided when no one comments on ANYTHING.  So come on, belly up to the keyboard and throw your two cents into the mix.  Hell bust out the dictionary and hit us with a couple of ten cent words if you wish.  Give us something to work, and we’ll gladly respond.

All you need to do is click the heading of each blog.  It will walk you through the rest.  Easy as pie.  Actually easier then pie because if you think about it, baking a pie is a bit time consuming.  So easier then pie.

Blog ya soon…

Xenomorps & more (0)

I remember the first time I saw the movie ALIEN. It enthralled me; sent my wee brain into a tizzy, expecting some teeth gnashing, slime covered, humanoid insect to come around every corner.  H.R. Giger was one of the first artists who name & work I could recognize.  His stuff amazes me, consistently.  It gets my brain moving, images swirling, & blood pumping.  It strikes a chord somewhere inside that is undeniable.

Stupid Tattoo Jokes (0)

1–Larry gets home late one night and his wife, Linda, says, “Where in the hell have you been?”

Larry replies, “I was out getting a tattoo.”

“A tattoo?” she frowned. “What kind of tattoo did you get?”

“I got a hundred dollar bill on my privates,” he said proudly.

“What the hell were you thinking?” she said, shaking her head in disdain. “Why on earth would an accountant get a hundred Dollar bill tattooed on his privates?”

“Well, one, I like to watch my money grow. Two, once in a while I like to play with my money. Three, I like how money feels in my hand. And, lastly, instead of you going out shopping, you can stay right here at home and blow a hundred bucks anytime you want.

2–A nurse from England was on duty in the emergency department, when a punk rocker entered.

This young woman had purple hair styled into a mohawk, a variety of tattoos and strange clothing.

It was determined that the patient had acute appendicitis and was scheduled for immediate surgery.

When she was completely disrobed on the operating table, the staff found that her pubic hair had been dyed green and above it was a tattoo reading: ‘keep off the grass.’

3–There once was a couple of newlyweds named John and Wendy. John told his wife Wendy that he wanted a tattoo! Wendy agreed and said that would be ok. John did not know what the tattoo should say or where he would put it. So Wendy said, “Well, if you REALLY loved me, you would get my name tattooed on your pecker.”
John couldn’t back out on that one, so he went to the tattoo parlor. The tattoo artist told him that he needed to have an erection while he put it on. After an hour of excruciating pain, the tattoo was done.

As John was on his way home from the tattoo parlor he saw a rest stop and decided he needed to stop and take a leak. He went to the restroom and looked down to admire his tattoo and he noticed, that when he was not erect, the only letters that were visible, were the W and the Y.

Suddenly, a big black gentleman steps into the urinal beside John and John accidentally looked down at the guy and could not help but notice that he ALSO had the letters W and Y tattooed.

So John said “Hey, I guess you have a girlfriend or wife named Wendy too.”

The guys looked confused and said, “What makes you think that?”

John replied “Well I noticed the W and the Y tattoo — so you don’t have a girlfriend named Wendy?”

The black guys laughed and responded, “No mon, that tattoo says, “Welcome to Jamaica! Have a nice day.”

4–A woman goes into a tattoo parlor and tells the tattoo artist that she wants a tattoo of a turkey on her right thigh right up just below her bikini line. She also wants him to put “Happy Thanksgiving” under the turkey.
So the guy does it and it comes out looking really good. The woman then instructs him to put a Santa Clause with “Merry Christmas” up on her left thigh.

So the guy does it and it comes out looking good, too.

As the woman is getting dressed to leave, the tattoo artist says, “If you don’t mind, could you tell me why you had me put such unusual tattoos on your thighs?”

She said, “I’m sick and tired of my husband complaining all the time that there’s nothing good to eat between Thanksgiving and Christmas.”

Innovation (0)

One of the great things about the human condition is our ability to adapt and innovate.

This kid isn’t letting anything hold him back from creating his Final Countdown. We should all learn from his example.
